OUR STORY
How four attorneys became one firm.
Jacqueline Delgado built her practice around the highest-stakes corners of immigration law: deportation defense, investor and business visas, and appeals. Thais Arsolino Purdy built hers around families and individuals: marriage green cards, naturalization, asylum, and student visas.
For years the two practices kept sending each other the same clients, because a family's immigration journey almost never fits inside one practice area. So they merged, and Delgado Purdy Law became one firm that can stay with a family from the first petition to the last appeal.
As the firm grew, two more attorneys joined the team. Luz Pedraza, a member of the Georgia Bar, meets clients at our Atlanta office. Jessica Smith, who tried more than fifty jury trials as a public defender before turning to immigration, leads our Chicago office.

Three of us are the product of the journey we now represent. Jacqueline is the daughter of Cuban immigrants, Thais was born in Brazil and came to the United States at age five, and Luz is the daughter of an immigrant. We have sat on the other side of the desk. We know what it feels like to have a family's future resting on a decision made in an office you did not choose to be in.
That is why we practice the way we do. Your attorney handles your case directly, in the language you speak at your own kitchen table.
